Ralawise

Client: Established in 1990, Ralawise is a family business that has grown into one of the biggest distribution companies of promotional clothing & leisurewear in Europe. Ralawise today hold over 2.5 million items in stock, with over 2000 products across 46 brands supplying corporates and the garment decoration industry.

Solution: The Ralawise b2b website has been developed using bd2's e-commerce and CMS solutions to manage products, brands categories and promotions in-house. The site integrates with their Sage Line 500 ERP solution to provide live stock data, online ordering, 'manage your account' facility for customers and customer specific pricing which displays an individual customer's discounted prices when logged in.

The site incorporates a 'Weblinks' subscription service for customers, who are all effectively resellers, to allow the display of the Ralawise catalogue within their own branded site including the option to filter the products displayed and show prices with either margin or mark up. Other features include; Quick stock view by code; 'Related products' feature to display add ons or alternatives; Advanced Search and Search by competitor product codes feature to enable users to find matching products in the Ralawise database; Marketing support material including hi-res image downloads, zoom and 'email a friend' functionality.

Nestle Staff Shop

Client: Company Shop provides an outsourced logistics service for many leading manufacturers including Nestle, Heinz, Premier Foods and Arla to dispose of their 'residual' stock. This service includes the operation of physical and virtual staff shops.

Solution: The Nestle staff sales website, which is a b2b service but essentially provides a b2c solution, has been developed in the latest version of Microsoft ASP.net and SQL server to create a site in which all product content can be updated in-house. Product information and stock is drawn directly from Company Shop's ERP Microsoft Dynamics system.

An intuitive interface provides very quick user navigation by category, sub-category and product lists click-through, using Ajax in combination with Jquery. An on-page, live shopping cart update, using Ajax, is incorporated. The site has secure login and is accessed by employees only, the user selects collection point [delivery site] and an allocated time slot through live data feed. Users can view order history and view order status. Stock and product updates are drawn from Dynamics. The site incorporates sophisticated promotions and offers engine with numerous discount options [multi-buy offers and % discounts].

Wombat Surfwear

Client: Wombat was established in 2004 with a small menswear collection and has developed into a genuine surfwear brand that manufactures, distributes and retails a full range of mens and girls garments. The Wombat brand is growing rapidly and has opened several retail outlets. This activity is coupled closely with a vigorous direct maketing campaign focused around a new Wombat business to consumer website developed by bd2.

Solution: The bd2 e-commerce solution includes a sophisticated content management system which allows for simple in-house update of all product information within a catalogue, categories, brands, the management of advertising campaigns, keywords and CRM functionality to analyse users' browsing and shopping habits and trends including full statistical reporting. The site integrates with Sage Line 500 business management system to provide live stock data and direct orders. Product features include a 'related products' feature to display add on sales or suggest alternatives and a 'Zoom' feature to display close up views of products. Online ordering with shopping basket function including a customer login/registration process.

Gill Marine

Client: Douglas Gill marinewear is sold all over the world and the products have developed into some of the leading specialist marine clothing ranges available anywhere. The Gill website integrates fully with the Protex ERP solution to seamlessly access data such as stock, orders and accounts online. The site replaces labour intensive systems and has transformed the way Gill operates.

Solution: The Gill website has been developed using bd2's solutions to manage web content. The site integrates fully with the Protex ERP solution to seamlessly access data such as live stock feeds. The site includes online ordering for salesmen and distributors with orders passed directly into Protex, a view accounts function to allow salesmen and distributors to access open and previous orders, there's a 'related products' feature to display add ons or alternatives, personalised price points to display an individual customer's discounts when logged in, clearance items and a quick stock feature - enter a product code to instantly view stock levels. A sophisticated search function delivers qualified searches following each selection. There are yachting club microsites [front end only] with ranges for individual clubs with personalised price points and the ability to apply embroidery [club logos] to garments, plus all ordering and access as above. The site is fully, and truly, Multi-lingual with English and German, French, Italian and Spanish.

Broughton Lubricants

Client: Broughton Lubricants is a family owned oil and lubricants distribution business specialising in the supply of Castrol and BP products. The company was acquired by Ribble Fuels in 2006, bd2 was subsequently commissioned to redesign and rebuild their e-commerce site which offers a complete range of products for national and international distribution.

Solution: The website has been developed using bd2's e-commerce and CMS solutions to manage products and categories in-house. Navigation is by image click-through, dynamic menu and search. The site includes detailed product overviews with technical information and related products. A shopping cart with transaction process and user registration/login. The admin system also provides a simple order process system and controls over shipping.

Premier Workwear

Client: Premierworkwear are manufacturers and suppliers of businesswear, hospitalitywear, outerwear and workwear. Their products are sold directly into businesses and into the garment decoration industry, screenprinters and embroiderers, for resale.

Solution: our content management system allows for simple in-house update of all product information, categories, brands and even the management of advertising campaigns. The site integrates with their Sage Line 500 business management system to provide live stock data, online ordering and 'manage your account' functions to allow customers to control access to information and permissions within their organisation. Product info includes 'Related products' feature to display add ons or alternatives and a zoom function. Personalised price points display an individual customer's discounts when logged in. The site houses marketing support material including hi-res images and email a friend functionality.

Bunzl for John Lewis

Client: Bunzl/John Lewis Partnership. Bunzl Retail Supplies are a division of Bunzl plc, a multi-billion turnover international company providing outsourcing solutions and value-added distribution. As part of their outsourced services for John Lewis they provide all their print supplies.

Solution: Bunzl commissioned bd2 to develop a bespoke online solution to handle the quotes and process management of print procurement. The system includes online quote request functionality including new enquiries and 'clone' from previous, a 'Workbox' feature of current lines and status overview and an artwork upload feature, archive jobs and drafts.

The process flow control is driven by Bunzl's service level KPIs. The online system replaces a manual version within a simplified process to deliver significant time saving efficiencies with improved controls, greater accessibility and sophisticated tracking and reporting measures.

MyCurtainCo

Client: Mycurtainco is a new b2c e-commerce business and offers a wide range of ready made curtains, blinds, bed linen, towels, cushions, rugs, voiles and accessories sourced from leading brands and manufacturers.

Solution: Having originated the mycurtainco brand identity following extensive research and a comprehensive creative process, we then built a full e-commerce site for the start up business. The mycurtainco website has been developed using e-commerce and CMS systems to manage a product catalogue, categories, specials offers and transactions in-house.

The site includes navigation by image click-through, dynamic menu and search, a sophisticated 'zoom' function which allows several levels of image zoom allowing users to view close up detail of fabrics. Detailed product overviews with colour/style options and related products [tie-backs and cushions to match curtains], a shopping basket with transaction process and user registration/login. The tools also provide a simple order process system and controls over shipping.
