Whilst our focus is the design and development of websites, we recognise that a website needs ongoing technical support and hosting. We have invested heavily in the technology and skills to provide responsive support and a range of cost-effective hosting solutions appropriate to the scale and function of the site. By hosting your website it means that we can ensure that your website is live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and, if there is a problem, we can put it right as soon as possible.

There are numerous hosting options in terms of supported technology and in scalability, resilience, security and capacity. There are also many types of databases and programming languages, however we have adopted Microsoft's ASP.net and SQL development framework as 'best of breed' so allour servers support the latest Microsoft .NET Framework which includes Microsoft's latest SQL Server platform. Our servers also support HTML, XHTML and Rich Internet Applications such as Flash, Ajax, video and audio streaming. Our Hosted Cloud servers support the latest Microsoft Operating systems. We partner with best of breed data centres to ensure optimum performance, security, resilience and real-time server and website monitoring.

We provide a choice of options to suit the nature of the site and the traffic to it. These range from shared hosting solutions - in which many sites share the same server to provide a very cost effective solution for smaller sites. Each site on our shared servers resides on its own secure segment under its own 'Application Pool'. This keeps the websites separate and secure from other websites on the shared platform.

Dedicated and semi-dedicated hosting is for larger websites that are expecting large amounts of traffic. This route provides more options and is more flexible than shared hosting as the client has full control over the server. Inevitably, dedicated hosting does incur higher costs than shared hosting but for some clients and sites it can be the only option. Similarly some clients will require dedicated communications links. Each dedicated server resides within its own VLAN for additional security. Increasingly we host our virtual hosting infrastructure in a Managed Cloud Environment which offers significant cost benefits and dynamic scaling options at a moment's notice with minimal downtime. Once your website is live, we manage all aspects of your hosting and support.

As our clients' websites become increasingly business critical, we recognise that it's vital we provide the necessary technical support to protect that investment by minimising disruption; keeping clients informed of any development work; and by responding to their ongoing needs. To that end, we have mapped and optimised our support processes, invested in help desk, bug tracker and business management systems to provide a comprehensive support desk service. This service provides technical support for every aspect of our websites - maintenance, hosting, archiving and all technical issues - through a dedicated support desk which logs queries and provides ongoing communication reports on any resultant actions. Service level agreements are determined by our customers in accordance with their individual needs including response times.

training

Our content management and ecommerce systems have been designed for ease of use in updating making it very easy for non-technical staff to manage, update and refresh website content inhouse. Data is accessed through web pages, and feature easy to use content editors so you can edit all of the areas of your web site as easily as writing a Word document, or sending an e-mail through an intuitive Word-style editor. We provide full training on your premises, on ours or remotely.
